the Polaroid Lift - Afterimage

This ongoing project, Afterimage, explores memory, time, and the idea of home through Polaroid emulsion lifts. By lifting and transferring the image onto a new surface, each photograph becomes a trace of the original moment, fragile, and transformed.

Focusing on familiar landscapes in New Jersey, this work reflects how memory shifts over time - never fixed and always changing. These pieces in Afterimage exist as both images and objects, holding the tension between preservation and loss.
